1,5-benzodiazepines are synthesized by the condensation of o-phenylenediamine and various ketones in the presence of Zr(NO3)4 under solvent free condition. The method offers mild reaction conditions, less reaction time, easy workup, high  yields, easy product isolation, selectivity of the reaction and reusability of catalyst.

  • Scopus indexing status of Journal of Integrated Science and Technology

The Journal of Integrated Science and Technology is a peer reviewed international multidisciplinary journal meant for publication of quality research advances in different fields of science (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals Sciences, Physics, Materials Sciences, Environmental Science ) and technology fields (all engineering sub-disciplines).

The journal has been evaluated by Scopus board (Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB)) and accepted for indexing in Aug 2021. As a large number of queries arise from researchers regarding the indexing of this journal in scopus and other databases, so this document has been made available to provide the answer to FAQ about indexing of Journal of Integrated Science and Technology.

update May 2022: Authors and readers can check the JIST journal on scopus site now at https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101065486

As the Scopus indexing team will include more articles from JIST in the Scopus database, the search results will show all the included articles.

Where is the problem, why the search with ISSN or journal name is not shown in Scopus?

Scholars generally search on the ‘Scopus Preview’ page https://www.scopus.com/sources (without subscription access) and do not find the ISSN/Name of the recently accepted journal. In actual, this page is meant for previewing the ‘matrices’ (citations to articles) of any journal. The Scopus generally releases journal matrices in the month of May or June, so till then the recently accepted journal will not reflect on this page (because journal matrices have not been calculated for that journal). Once the Scopus will provide the matrices (citations profile) for JIST journal, then it will be available for search (with ISSN and Name) on this (preview) page as well (probably after May 2022).

update May 2022: Authors and readers can check the JIST journal on scopus site now at https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101065486

When my article published in JIST will be indexed by Scopus?

The Scopus content indexing support team continuously and periodically indexes the articles, however, we can’t provide an exact time for indexing, it may take 6 months or more/less depending upon when the Scopus team keeps the next round of indexing of respective journal contents.

My article published in JIST has not been indexed in Scopus while other articles from the year/volume are listed in Scopus?

You may contact the Scopus support for inclusion of your missing article/content. The details of procedure is provided on Scopus/elsevier page (click to see, use the form provided in step 2 to add content in database).

My article is missing in Scopus listing ?

    Please refer previous question.

Can I, as Author, approach the Scopus to include/index my article published in JIST as my University/Institute requires the inclusion of my article in Scopus.

You may wait for some time as Scopus team will add the contents/articles themselves, however, for urgency you may use the link/form details on Scopus site (on Scopus/elsevier page link).

    Abstract

The present study aimed to investigated the antiproliferative potential of Mosinone-A on cell proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle proteins during 7, 12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) induced hamster buccal pouch (HBP) carcinogenesis. A total number of 40 golden Syrian hamsters were randomized into 4 groups of 10 animals in each. Group I animals were served as untreated control. Groups II and III animals were painted with 0.5% DMBA in liquid paraffin three times per week for 14 weeks on the left buccal pouches. Group III animals were orally administered with Mosinone-A (2 mg kg-1 b.wt) starting one week before the exposure to the carcinogen and continued on days alternate to DMBA painting, until the sacrification of the animals. Groups IV animals were received Mosinone-A alone throughout the experimental period. Topical application of DMBA for 14 weeks induced buccal pouch carcinomas associated with increased expression of Cox-2, P21, iNos and SIAT1 whereas decreased expression of Bax, Cleaved caspase-9, P12DOC-1, p16INK4A and p15INK4B. Oral administration of Mosinone-A significantly inhibited the development of HBP carcinomas as revealed by decreased expression of Cox-2, P21, iNos and  SIAT1 and over expression  Bax, Cleaved caspase-9, P12DOC-1, p16INK4A and  p15INK4B. The result of the present study indicates that Mosinone-A can exerts protective effects against DMBA induced buccal pouch carcinogenesis by inhibiting cell proliferation and inducing differentiation and apoptosis.

Key words: Oral cancer; Mosinone-A; DMBA; hamster; carcinogenesis; apoptosis

  • Reproductive Inflammatory Mediators and Male Infertility – Special issue Chemical Biology Letters

Reproductive Inflammatory Mediators and Male Infertility – Special issue Chemical Biology Letters

Association between male reproductive tract infection and inflammation with male infertility is an extremely debated topic in the arena of Andrology research. Disruption of semen quality in cases of testicular and accessory gland infections, owe to altered spermatogenesis, sperm maturation and/or transport. The impact depends on the intensity, duration of progression, mediators of the inflammatory process and individual susceptibility to the infection. Interactions among the mediators with immunological cells and other regulators affect sperm function and have been reported to be associated with male infertility. However, the issue is still under debate and paves several dimensions of research in this realm.

This special issue aims to summarize the current knowledge on male reproductive tract inflammation and causative agents with its consequences on male reproductive functions. We believe that this issue will broaden the understanding of male reproductive immunology. These observations will definitely help to develop a new diagnostic stand for males suffering from gonadal tract infection and inflammation.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

    ● Testicular infection and inflammation
    ● Accessory sex organ inflammation and male infertility
    ● Seminal infections and its markers
    ● Role of leukocytes in male reproductive tract inflammation
    ● Systemic diseases and immunomodulation in male infertility
    ● Management of male reproductive tract inflammation
    ● Roles of hormones and male reproductive immunology
